Total Nonsense

... is exactly what I felt like posting today.

I know this picture would be cooler if the speedo was not firmly planted at Zero MPH, but you should just never (ahem) actually drive a VW while taking photos. Once upon a time, I transcribed the life and times of historic preservation architect Wayne Bell while working in the Department of Oral History at Baylor University, and Wayne said this was how the movement started--the so-called "Windshield Survey." Now you know!

Who can name the bar?

Brianne and Brent's Wedding

Brianne and Brent, who you've seen here before, got married at Waco's fantastic Earle-Harrison House Saturday night. Incidentally, the Earle-Harrison is where I photographed my first wedding ten years ago. I've been back there twice this year, and I must say that place rocks.

This little boy was cracking us up the whole day. Here, he's managed to play so hard that he untied his shoes and bloodied his nose almost simultaneously. But that didn't slow him down one bit. Watch as he gets a head start on the cake a few pics down...

Which for a newspaper?

Today one of my clients asked me to send them a pic for the newspaper ahead of the rest, which I'm still editing. Think they'll go for the action shot? My money says that the typical paper would run the vertical palm tree shot, or crop a vertical out of the wide landscape. Time will tell... Incidentally, this wedding took place at the beautiful Hotel Galvez in Galveston.
